ROCK CYCLE

Rock cycle refers to a process through which are formed. The rock cycles start from the igneous rock that forms when magma that comes out from the volcano, cools above or below the ground. Then, when igneous rocks break down, they mix with other materials and then become compacted. This is what we call Sedimentary rock. After that, metamorphic are formed when the igneous and sedimentary rocks are dramatically changed by extreme heat or pressure. Eventually they are forced below ground again, where they are turned  to liquid  by boiling magma and the rock cycle continues.

Earth operates in cycles. By reading a certain number of articles and books about earth cycles, I was able to learn more about the rock cycle and the different types of rocks such as igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic. These rocks are different from each other and each has their own cycles of creation and degradation. Igneous rocks are made from molten rock that cools down and hardens to create its unique structure. Sedimentary rocks are corporation of all kinds of things. Particles and fragments come together to form the layers of sedimentary rocks. Metamorphic rocks have changed since they were first formed especially if they have been under very high temperatures where the atoms rearrange themselves and create something totally new. This cycle has been around since the beginning of this world and will continue until it is destroy. Rocks are forever being changed, shifted and the surface of Earth itself is situated on moving plates. I think this is interesting because these plates we live on used to be molten rock until they were solidified. Everything on earth then grew from there.

After the discussion of the said topic, I took an exam that will test my understanding and knowledge about how the earth was formed. When the result comes, I was astonish about the score I've got. I was able to get a perfect score in the Dynamic earth assessment and only just one mistake in Rock Cycle Assessment. For me, it is an achievement and a reward for giving my best effort.
